BERKELY ROMAN SHADES

Dual Sheer Shades operate by aligning the fabric bands in the open position for light and view-through, or close the bands for privacy and shade. Fully raise the shade to allow full light and enjoy the view.  Fabrics include 79 light-filtering and 34 room-darkening options.
Shades come standard with clutch control or can be paired with our unbeatable wand and remote control motorization options.
All dual sheer shades come standard with a 3″ cassette that is available with a rounded or square profile.
Shades are available in wide widths with fabrics up to 108″ or 110″ wide.

Flat shades feature a flat, continuous fabric panel. 
Most fabrics are available to be made in Flat style, with the exception of the fabrics noted by [1] on the Materials Reference table.  Liners of flat shades are seamed to provide added support. This will show a shadow on the front of light filtering shades when light is coming through. We also recommend ordering all flat shades with hidden ribs. Hidden ribs are sewn into the liner material to allow a continuous front panel and provide extra support as the shade is raised and lowered.

Hobbled shades are made with extra fabric in each fold, allowing them to keep the
folded look of a roman shade even when fully lowered.
Hobbled shades are made without ribs and have more lift cords on the back of the
shade, which provide additional support when the shade is raised. See page 10 for
details.
Hobbles will show between 9” and 12” on the front of the shade with 3” folds.
Hobbled shades are only available in waterfall style.
NOTE: Hobbled shades may require extra dressing in the window once installed.

Ribs are sewn into pockets on the back of the shade.
There will be a seam on the front of the shade where each pocket is sewn.
Knife Pleat shades require the least amount of dressing once installed.

Waterfall shades come standard without a valance. Shade fabric comes off the
front of the head rail.
Waterfall shades can be ordered with a front valance for a surcharge, which is
used to cover the top fold of the shade.
Back valances hide the view of the components from the outside. They are available
for no additional charge and are made of the liner fabric.
Interior valances are included for light-filtering waterfall shades and are used
to block the outline of the shade components from showing on the front of the
shade. Interior valances install between the shade panel and the components and
are made using blackout liner material. They are 3¾” long.
Waterfall shades ordered with clutch have control cord loop hidden behind the shade.

Standard shades have a 6” valance on the front of the head rail. Custom valance
lengths may also be ordered.
The shade fabric comes off the back of the head rail.
Standard shades ordered with clutch have control cord loop adjacent to the shade.

 VALANCE ONLY
Valance Only is available for all fabrics.
Valances can be specified in length up to 18” long and have a maximum width of 96”.
Valances will be attached to a head rail. Available head rail depths are 1½” and 2½”.
Valances can be made with light-filtering liners (standard) or black-out liners (surcharge).

Shades come standard with a light-filtering liner.
Black-out liners are available as a surcharge option.
Light-filtering liners are available in snow white or
ivory. Black-out liner is available in white.
Liners are sewn underneath the side and bottom
hems.
Note: Black-out liners will include black-out tape
on the back of the shade to block pin holes of
light from showing through. Black-out tape will be
applied where the rings and ribs are sewn.

Outside mount shades are recommended to be ordered with valance returns. Returns
for both outside and inside mount shades are available free of charge if requested at
the time the order is placed.
Return height is 4½”. Standard shades with a valance have returns made shorter
than valance length to accommodate the stack of the shade.
All valance returns are made with an L-shaped connector that attaches to the side
and front of the head rail to hold the return in place, creating a clean, finished
corner.
