Faux Wood Blind Mounting Options
Properly installing blinds starts with accurate window measurements. The first step is deciding whether you want Outside Mount or Inside Mount blinds, as this choice will influence how you measure your windows.

How To Measure for Inside Mount Option
Properly installing blinds starts with accurate window measurements. The first step is deciding whether you want Outside Mount or Inside Mount blinds, as this choice will influence how you measure your windows.
How To Measure for Outside Mount Option
Begin by measuring the width of the window, which can be achieved by measuring the distance between the left and right edges of the window frame. The height of the window can then be determined by measuring from the top of the window frame to the windowsill.
To ensure optimal privacy and light control, it is recommended that an additional 4 inches be added to both the height and width measurements. 2 inches around the measurements of the blind will achieve your extra 4 inches.
